Organisational Carbon Offsetting

Once you have quantified your Carbon Footprint, you can opt to negate its impact and become Carbon Neutral. One route to achieving this is “Carbon Offsetting”, where you support a green project (such as a renewable energy or reforestation project) outside the sphere of influence of your assessed entity to obtain a matching amount of Carbon Offsets to neutralise your emissions.

The credits should be sourced and retired from projects that are registered on a global registry following an internationally accepted protocol/standard (such as VCS, CDM, or Plan Vivo).
