Sustainable Development Goals have been rolled out to almost all countries in the UN to produce a set of universal goals that meet the urgent environmental, political and economic challenges facing our world. At the COP26 summit, many countries pledged their commitment to uphold the SDGs - but most of them are falling behind.
An example would be the country of Sri Lanka, which has fallen back on its commitment toward the SDGs which can partly be the reason for its dramatic economic downturn.Adherence and positive steps towards fulfilling the SDGs is an important step for committed countries to further their socio-economic and sustainable growth.
