International Earth Day marks the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970, which was hailed by over 20 million people.

Celebrated on the 22nd of April, the theme for the year 2022 is to “Invest in Our Planet”.

With businesses, political agendas and large companies affecting the earth in multiple ways, it is beyond the time to invest all our efforts in to the betterment of our planet.

As individuals, there are many little steps we could take to ensure that we are each doing our singular part to overcome these issues. Some of the things we can do are to;

• ⦿   Reduce our plastic consumption, reuse items by up-cycling and giving them a new life, and recycle that which cannot be up-cycled!
• ⦿   Take a walk! With the global increase in fuel prices, taking a short walk helps your body as well as the planet. For every mile walked instead of driven, nearly one pound of pollution is kept out of the air.
